LABYRINTH & NAMASTE

We built this space as a gathering/seminar/play area.  When we were digging the foundations we needed to arrange a final place for the soil, so that we would not have to move it twice.  We decided, for no apparent reason, to arrange it in a large circular earth mound.  Two days later we received a call from the States, from a woman who had been referring to us, to ask if we would be interested in hosting a labyrinth building workshop in a few weeks time.  We joyfully accepted, telling her that we had the land enclosure all prepared for her!  The workshop space has held and hosted countless events, and continues to breath life into our lives.

The house was designed and built for a wonderful artist in Roscrea, in Ireland.  Building such a space is not without its challenges, both from a practical, financial and emotional perspectives.  But the result is always worth the effort.
